Everybody at Chance to Shine was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Nick Gandon, aged 68, on 28th February.
A former director of the Cricket Foundation, Nick was instrumental in the creation of Chance to Shine in 2005, working alongside Mark Nicholas, Mervyn King, and Duncan Fearnley. His background in education and passion for cricket were key to the charity’s early success.
Chance to Shine Chief Executive Kate Stephens said: “Nick was a driving force behind our charity, and his legacy will live on through the millions of children who have taken part in Chance to Shine programmes over the last 20 years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
