Raise funds for Chance to Shine in virtual MyRideLondon

The first ever virtual edition of Prudential RideLondon will be taking place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August and Chance to Shine is looking for riders to help raise funds to support the charities return to cricket delivery.

The Covid-19 pandemic has hugely impacted Chance to Shine following the cancellation and postponement of many of it’s fundraising events. As lockdown restrictions ease, the charity needs  support to continue giving children and young people in schools and disadvantaged communities the opportunity to develop through cricket.

My Prudential RideLondon is an exciting, free event that can be done anywhere in the world. It encourages people of all ages and abilities to get on their bikes, scooters, skateboards, trikes, tandems, penny farthings and unicycles to raise much-needed funds for charities.

Riders can choose between three challenges (100, 46 or 19-mile ride) or the RideLondon FreeCycle, where participants can set their own challenge (starting from 1km) on a route and wheels of their choice, providing a great option for the whole family to get involved.

To take part on behalf of Chance to Shine, register at myridelondon.co.uk and select a challenge. The site will also provide a link to Virgin Money Giving to set up a fundraising page that can be split across a number of your charities.

Once registered, riders can access training plans and fundraising tips as well as the My Prudential RideLondon app in event week to track their progress to share with family and friends and to receive a personalised certificate.

Chance to Shine will also be in contact weekly with tips and support to help you in the lead up to the ride. For any queries or further information, please contact annabel.hay@chancetoshine.org.

Participants are asked to follow current Government guidelines on cycling. For more information, click here.
