Marathon effort raises vital funds for Chance to Shine

The sun was shining and the atmosphere buzzing on Sunday 23 April as three brave runners took to the streets to complete the Virgin Money London Marathon on behalf of Chance to Shine. The long months of training paid off for Angus Brydon, Ben Wallis and Richard Young as they all crossed the finish line in under five hours with smiles on their faces a tremendous effort and excellent achievement by our trio of runners.

Here’s what they had to say after the race: Angus Brydon said “It was an amazing experience and one that I would recommend to anyone”

Ben Wallis told us “It was a great day, the event is awesome and thanks so much for allowing us to run for you!”

Not only did they knock the run out the park, they also raised a staggering £13,475 for Chance to Shine, helping us spread the power of cricket in schools and communities. We are so proud of them and grateful for their amazing fundraising efforts thank you!
