Chance to Shine chief executive to step down in 2018

Luke Swanson, Chance to Shine CEO since the start of 2015, is to step down in the spring of 2018.

Donald Brydon, Chairman of Chance to Shine, said: “When Luke was recruited to lead Chance to Shine he agreed to step out of corporate life for around three years to fulfil the role. He has been an astonishing success in this role and he now wants to move on to the next phase of his career.”

Luke Swanson said: “I am so proud to have played a part in this brilliant and enduring campaign to use cricket to inspire and develop young people. Chance to Shine is in fine form, with a clear and focussed strategy, renewed programme design, strong long–term partnerships and a talented team. That makes this a good time for me to plan for my next stage. I am committed to supporting the transition to a new CEO in any way I can, and I intend to remain a supporter of this fantastic charity long after I have moved on from my executive role.”
