We want all young people to have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport; developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.
Chance to Shine is a national charity that aims to give all children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We believe that cricket can help to develop the personal, social and physical skills of the children and young people we work with.
Our scale is large; we support around 600,000 young people each year. Whilst we are proud of this, it is our impact on young people that is paramount.

We collaborate with a delivery network of trusted partners, including the county cricket network, to deliver coaching, competition and leadership development in state primary and secondary schools, as well as helping young people to continue playing out of school in their community. We also support teachers to deliver cricket themselves through training and digital resources.

We have strong partnerships with many organisations, particularly the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Sport England, who support and enable our work. We are committed to playing our part in helping the ECB make cricket the most inclusive sport. Sport England are long-term supporters of our Street programme, and as such we welcome their ‘Uniting The Movement’ journey to transform lives and communities through sport.
